Short TermThis image depicts the Place des Terreaux in Lyon, France, featuring the Hôtel de Ville de Lyon (City Hall) as the prominent background structure. The Hôtel de Ville is a large, ornate Baroque-style building with a central clock tower topped by a dome and a spire. Its facade is richly decorated with sculptures, pilasters, and cornices. Two large, vertical rainbow-colored banners, each bearing the text "LYON EST FIÈRE!" (Lyon is Proud!), are suspended from the upper portion of the building, flanking the clock tower. French flags are visible below the banners, above the main entrance. The building's windows are numerous, with several appearing open. In the foreground, a large, circular stone fountain filled with water occupies the bottom left and center. Several individuals are seated on the fountain's edge, including a person in a red shirt on the right and a person in a yellow top and blue jeans towards the left. To the left of the fountain, an outdoor cafe area is visible with multiple white parasols shading tables and chairs, occupied by patrons. The square itself is paved with light grey flagstones. Various groups of people are scattered across the square, walking, standing, and interacting. Small ground-level water jets create minor fountains in the mid-ground. Buildings with multiple stories and typical European architectural styles flank the square on the left and right. The sky is clear and light blue, with a few small birds visible in the upper sections. The lighting suggests late afternoon or early evening.
