The scene is set in Jibilik, Nigeria, under a pale blue to light gray sky. The foreground and mid-ground are dominated by dense, dry, golden-brown tall grasses and stalks, suggesting a dry season. A small, single-story structure is partially visible in the mid-ground, left of center, constructed from what appears to be earthen material, featuring a gabled roof covered with dark, possibly corrugated, sheeting. Several large, smooth, grayish-brown boulders are situated within the dry grasses, near the structure. To the far left, a portion of a large tree with vibrant green foliage extends into the frame.
