Two men are processing grapes inside a mud-brick structure, likely a traditional grape drying house or cellar, in Senjaray, Afghanistan. The walls are made of rough-hewn mud bricks with numerous circular perforations, presumably for ventilation. Bunches of green and purplish grapes hang from the ceiling and from branches attached to the wall. The man on the left, wearing a dark grey tunic and trousers, is seated and appears to be sorting or trimming grapes. He is using scissors and has a pile of grapes in front of him. The man on the right, dressed in a green tunic and trousers with an embroidered trim, is also seated and appears to be inspecting and handling a bunch of grapes. Both men are barefoot. The floor is covered with a scattering of grapes and debris. A narrow window opening is visible in the upper central part of the wall, allowing a sliver of sunlight to enter. The overall environment suggests a rural agricultural setting focused on grape preservation.
