The image displays a book page featuring text and a coin
Short TermThe image displays a book page featuring text and a coin. The text discusses Jöns Jacob Berzelius, a Swedish chemist born in 1779, who studied medicine and chemistry. He worked at the Royal Institute in Upsala, researched the properties of elements and compounds, and discovered selenium, cerium, and thorium. In 1828, he created a table of atomic masses and introduced modern symbolic notation in chemistry. He also coined the terms isomerism and allotropy. The coin, partially visible, appears to be historical and features an engraved design.
