This is a photograph of a bronze sculpture depicting two men seated at a table, placed in front of a vibrant turquoise brick wall
Short TermThis is a photograph of a bronze sculpture depicting two men seated at a table, placed in front of a vibrant turquoise brick wall. The sculpture is located in Khiva, Uzbekistan, specifically within the historical complex of Ichan Kala. The man on the left is wearing a traditional skullcap and looks upwards with his mouth open. He is seated with his arms resting on his lap. The man on the right, also with an open mouth and beard, is holding a small bowl in his hands and is looking upwards as well. Both figures are dressed in loose, traditional garments. In front of them, a table is laden with what appears to be a tablecloth with intricate patterns, and there are small bowls on the table. To the right of the table stands a samovar, a metal container used for heating water. The ground beneath the sculpture is paved with light-colored bricks. The turquoise brick wall behind the sculpture is a prominent feature, with individual bricks clearly visible and the mortar lines defining the brickwork. The lighting suggests it is daytime, with sunlight casting subtle shadows on the figures and the ground.
