MomentThe image depicts the Southern Gate, known as "Kamilite" (The Camels), in Hisarya, Bulgaria. The central subject is a large, partially ruined Roman archway constructed from reddish-brown brick and grey stone masonry. The structure features a primary arch spanning a paved road, with a smaller, recessed secondary arch visible within the main opening. The upper portions of the gate are severely damaged, presenting irregular, jagged stone and brick remnants against the sky. The construction technique alternates courses of brick with layers of stone rubble. A dark asphalt road passes directly through the archway, angling slightly to the right. On the left side of the road, a low, curved stone wall or curb is present at the base of the gate's left pier. Beyond the arch, through the opening, a cluster of green trees, including tall conifers and deciduous varieties, is visible. A light-colored building with a roof can be faintly discerned amidst the foliage in the distance. The sky above is overcast with dark grey clouds exhibiting areas of reddish-orange and warm yellow hues, indicating either dawn or dusk. No individuals, vehicles, or active elements are present in the scene.
