The petals are a vibrant yellow, some slightly curved and others pointed. The center of the sunflower displays intricate patterns of brown and yellow. Below the flower head, large, rough-textured green leaves are visible, some with prominent veins. The stem is thick and appears fuzzy. In the background, out of focus, is a mixture of greenery, suggesting a garden or natural setting. A light blue and white fence runs horizontally along the lower left side of the image, with patches of green grass and foliage behind it. Further back, some indistinct structures, possibly buildings or sheds, are visible, one with a yellow facade.
