The larger tortoise, in the foreground, is facing towards the right, with its head extended. Behind it and slightly to the left, a second, smaller tortoise is visible, facing towards the left and appearing to be entering the burrow. The environment consists of dry, sandy soil with scattered small rocks and some sparse green vegetation on the ground behind the burrow. A curved, rocky overhang forms the entrance to the burrow. A light-colored barrier is present in the lower right portion of the image, suggesting an enclosure or viewing area.
