The statue depicts the figure wearing a long, double-breasted overcoat with visible buttons and pockets. His left arm is raised high, palm open, in a gesturing or waving pose. His right arm is bent and positioned behind his back, partially obscured. The figure's head is tilted slightly upward and to the viewer's right. The statue rests on a multi-tiered pedestal. The upper portion of the pedestal is light-grey, matching the statue, while the lower, larger section is composed of reddish-brown rectangular blocks, possibly brick or stone cladding. Below the pedestal, a building or structure with matching reddish-brown facade material is visible. A metal railing, consisting of horizontal bars, extends across the top of this lower structure. Behind the railing, large, stylized red Chinese characters are partially visible, affixed to the top of the reddish-brown structure. The scene is set in Qingyang District, China.
