Short TermJuma Mosque in Ganja City, Azerbaijan, under a cloudy sky. Two tall, cylindrical brick minarets stand symmetrically on either side of a central arched entrance to the mosque complex. Each minaret is topped with an open, octagonal lantern structure with decorative metalwork and a crescent moon finial. The minarets are connected by a low, reddish-brown brick wall. In front of the wall and entrance is a paved courtyard made of interlocking concrete bricks. The courtyard has decorative seating areas along its perimeter. Tall, dark green cypress trees are visible behind the minarets, and the upper branches of leafy green trees frame the top of the image. A single person, dressed in dark clothing, walks across the courtyard from left to right in the lower left portion of the frame. The overall scene depicts an architectural landmark in a serene, yet somber, outdoor environment.
