A large, dark bronze statue of a soldier stands in the center of a paved plaza. The soldier is depicted in a dynamic pose, with one arm raised holding a rifle above his head and the other arm extended forward, pointing. He wears a helmet and a cape that billows behind him. At the base of the statue, a wreath of red and yellow flowers rests on a granite pedestal. Behind the statue, a row of buildings lines the plaza. The closest building on the left is a multi-story structure with a red-tiled roof and light-colored walls. To its right is a brick building with multiple windows, and further to the right are several shops and businesses with awnings and signs. One sign, in Russian, reads "Мир Шмоток" (Mir Shmotok), which translates to "World of Clothes." Another sign has the word "АСС" visible in large gold letters. The sky above is a clear, bright blue with a few wispy white clouds. In the foreground, to the right of the statue's base, a metal chair is overturned, resting on its side. The plaza pavement is composed of large, grey square tiles. A few small green plants are visible growing in cracks in the pavement. Two people, a man and a woman, are walking away from the viewer on the sidewalk in front of the businesses on the right side of the image. This statue is the Eternal Flame monument, located in Victory Park in Shakhty, Russia. It commemorates Soviet soldiers who fought in World War II.
