This is a photograph of a rice paddy field in Darulaman, Indonesia. The foreground of the image shows a muddy, waterlogged field that has been recently tilled. The mud is unevenly distributed, with some areas appearing more deeply submerged than others. In the middle ground, a strip of grass and some dry vegetation are visible along the edge of the tilled section. Further back, green rice plants are growing in neat rows, indicating a different stage of cultivation. A dense line of trees, predominantly coconut palms, forms the background horizon.
