MeissenGermany

The image displays a daytime scene in the Markt (Market Square) of Meissen, Germany, under an overcast sky. In the foreground right, a multi-story, light-colored building with a gabled roofline is visible. Its windows are fitted with dark blue shutters, three of which are numbered '21', '22', and '23', indicating an Advent calendar display. An ornate, carved stone balcony is positioned on the facade below one window. A gold, star-shaped light hangs from an archway or awning on this building. A metal downspout extends from the upper gabled section. Adjacent to this, toward the left and center, are several other multi-story historical buildings. One building is light blue with cream-colored rectangular panels surrounding its dark-framed windows. Its reddish-brown tiled roof features two distinct oval "eyelid" dormer windows. To the far left, another off-white building with dark-framed windows also has a reddish-brown tiled roof with a dormer window. Partially visible text on its facade includes "MEISSEN" and "Schwalbennest." The lower portion of the image shows several temporary market stalls. One on the far left has a yellow canopy with "Schwalbennest" text and string lights. Adjacent stalls feature dark canopies and are decorated with string lights and evergreen foliage. A sign with "Weltladen" is partially visible behind one stall. No individuals are discernible within the frame.
