MomentThe image captures a coastal scene in Balchik, Bulgaria, during either sunrise or sunset, indicated by the low sun angle and long shadows. The foreground and mid-ground are dominated by a substantial breakwater composed of large, weathered grey concrete tetrapods. Three males are positioned on these tetrapods, actively engaged in fishing in the calm waters of the Black Sea; two are in the mid-ground, one wearing a dark shirt and the other a light green shirt, both holding fishing rods. A third, silhouetted male is visible on a more distant tetrapod, also fishing. On the right side of the image, a large, vertical concrete wall features prominent purple and yellow graffiti, appearing as a stylized 'V' or similar tag. Adjacent to this wall, on a flat concrete pier, a fourth male, dressed in a black shirt and light shorts, is observed in a deep squat, attending to fishing gear that includes a black tackle box, a plastic water bottle, and plastic bags. A fishing rod rests horizontally on the concrete surface near him. A partial view of a fifth individual, showing a striped shirt, is present in the extreme foreground right, suggesting the perspective of the photographer or a nearby person. The horizon across the water reveals dark, undulating hills or mountains, with subtle indications of a distant settlement. The sky is partially cloudy, displaying various cumulus and stratocumulus formations, and the low sun casts a bright reflection on the water, producing lens flare.
