Two light brown lions are observed resting on dry earth in Sinoni, Tanzania. The lion in the immediate foreground, positioned left of center, is lying down with its eyes closed, facing right, partially obscured by a thick, rough-barked tree trunk on the far right. Its front paws are tucked beneath it, and its hind legs are extended forward. A second lion, further back and to the left, is also lying down, partially visible behind and to the left of the foreground lion, with its head and upper back exposed. The ground consists of reddish-brown soil with sparse, dry vegetation, scattered small rocks, and twigs. In the background, additional dry brush and indistinct vegetation are present under natural light conditions.
