The image displays the flooded bell tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral, located in the Uglich Reservoir near Kalyazin, Tver Oblast, Russia. The bell tower is a prominent white, multi-tiered neoclassical structure with an octagonal base, several diminishing upper tiers, and a pointed spire capped with a dome, rising directly from the water. A small, dark-colored pier extends from the base of the bell tower, with a small white boat positioned nearby. Several human figures are visible on the pier and adjacent to the boat. In the background, positioned on the distant treeline to the right of the bell tower, a large, golden parabolic dish, identifiable as the RT-64 radio telescope of the Kalyazin Radio Astronomy Observatory, is clearly visible. The water in the foreground is blue and calm, exhibiting slight ripples and reflections. The sky is light blue with diffuse cloud cover. A dark green treeline forms the horizon beyond the water.
