This is a close-up, head-and-shoulders shot of a rooster against a black background. The rooster's head is in profile, facing left. It has a large, red comb with multiple points, a bright orange eye with a concentric pupil, and a yellow beak. Red wattles hang from its chin. The rooster's neck and chest are covered in finely detailed feathers, predominantly gray and white with black speckles. A portion of what appears to be a weathered wooden post or structure is visible in the upper right corner of the image, out of focus. The lighting is artificial and casts a strong illumination on the rooster's face. There is no indication of the city of Vallecito, Venezuela, in the image or its context.
