The flower is encircled by a diverse array of green ground cover, including broad, deeply lobed leaves (consistent with Taraxacum species) and numerous slender grass blades, some bearing small, pale seed heads. The undergrowth also features several brown, dried deciduous leaves, fragments of dried straw, and darker soil patches. A thin, reddish-brown woody stick, approximately 20 cm in length, extends horizontally across the mid-ground, above the flower.
