high altar of the Basilica di Sant'Antonio da Padova in Padua, Italy. The altar is elaborately decorated with a Gothic-style tabernacle. In the center of the tabernacle is a statue of the Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child, both wearing crowns. They are surrounded by a mosaic of angels. The tabernacle is adorned with gold filigree, red marble columns, and pinnacles. Two white candles stand on either side of the statue. Above the tabernacle, a circular stained-glass window with a blue lattice pattern is visible. To the left of the altar, there is a fresco of two figures and a hanging lamp. To the right, another hanging lamp is visible. The altar itself is covered with a white cloth. The altar base is decorated with carved quatrefoil motifs. Wooden pews are visible in the foreground and to the left. The walls of the basilica are a muted brown color.
