Saint Joseph, on the right, is depicted with a halo, brown hair and beard, wearing a pink robe and a brown mantle. He holds a bouquet of flowers in his left hand and extends his right hand to the child Jesus. The child Jesus, on the left, is wearing a light-colored robe with a heart emblem on the chest and has his hands clasped. He looks up towards Saint Joseph. Both figures have a reddish-brown marble base, with a small brass plaque on the front of the base inscribed "SAN JOSE". The statue is located in the Capilla de San José, part of the historic Cathedral of La Plata, in La Plata, Argentina.
