monument in Irkutsk, Russia, dedicated to Emperor Alexander III. The monument is located on the embankment of the Angara River. In the foreground, a black wrought-iron fence with ornate scrolls and an emblem of the double-headed eagle can be seen. Behind the fence, a large, multi-tiered granite pedestal rises, topped by a bronze statue of Emperor Alexander III. The statue depicts him standing in a military uniform, holding a sword. On the pedestal, there are inscriptions and a wreath. The monument is surrounded by trees and on the horizon, the opposite bank of the river with buildings is visible. The sky is cloudy.
