A concrete pyramid-shaped monument stands on a paved area in front of a modern building with grey tiled walls and a glass door. A metal plaque is affixed to the monument. A tree trunk is to the left of the monument. A sidewalk with brick-like paving extends from the foreground to the right of the image. The monument has a plaque that reads "ЗАКЛАДНОЙ КАМЕНЬ" (Founding Stone) and lists the location as "НА МЕСТЕ СТРОИТЕЛЬСТВА ЭКСПОЗИЦИОННО-ВЫСТАВОЧНОГО МУЗЕЯ-ЗАПОВЕДНИКА «ПРОРЫВ» БЛОКАДЫ ЛЕНИНГРАДА" (At the site of construction of the exhibition-museum complex "Breakthrough" of the Siege of Leningrad).
