The bottom consists of light-colored sand and sediment, with visible ripples or undulations, and scattered patches of darker aquatic vegetation or algae growth. Several small rocks are visible on the bottom, including a distinct lighter-colored, angular rock in the lower right quadrant. Numerous small, translucent, elongated aquatic organisms, consistent with fish fry or similar larvae, are dispersed throughout the water column, particularly concentrated in the lower half of the frame. Various pieces of organic debris are present: a prominent, long, bright green blade of a plant (likely seagrass) floats in the upper-mid left; a fibrous, irregular, light-colored mass is suspended in the upper right; and scattered small, dark-brown fragments, possibly leaves or twigs, are present on or near the surface. The scene is devoid of human subjects or man-made objects other than the implied human observer taking the photograph.
