Momentclose-up, low-angle view of an ornate, frescoed ceiling inside the atrium of the San Andrés Apóstol church in San Andrés Calpan, Mexico. The ceiling is a vaulted structure with intricate stucco work and faded blue paint. The stucco features eight radial beams, each adorned with gold-colored rope-like detailing and terminating in carved angel-like figures at the corners of the ceiling. These figures have wings and stylized faces. In the center of the ceiling, a circular stucco medallion contains an embossed religious symbol, possibly "IHS" for Jesus. The blue paint on the ceiling is peeling and distressed, revealing darker plaster beneath. The overall impression is one of aged grandeur and historical significance.
