entrance to the Maison de Chateaubriand in Saint-Malo, France
Momententrance to the Maison de Chateaubriand in Saint-Malo, France. The facade of the building is made of light-colored stone blocks. Above the dark wooden arched doorway, a gilded coat of arms with lions and fleur-de-lis is mounted on a circular frame. The inscription above the coat of arms reads "MON SANG A TEINT LES BANNTERES DE FRANCE". Flanking the coat of arms are two stone statues of men in historical attire. To the left of the doorway is a tall, white-framed window with a blue wrought-iron grate. To the right, a small circular window with four panes is visible. The doorway itself is recessed and framed by dark, ornate wooden elements. Above the double white doors, a golden inscription states "le 4 septembre 1768 est né dans cette maison CHATEAUBRIAND". The doors have multiple paneled sections and a small "PROPRIÉTÉ PRIVÉE" sign is affixed to the left door. In front of the entrance, a large bush with vibrant pink hydrangeas is in bloom, partially obscuring a stone statue of a person. To the left of the hydrangeas and statue, a large palm frond emerges from a dark grey planter. Stone steps lead up to the doorway, and the surrounding area is landscaped with greenery. The overall scene depicts a historic building entrance with architectural and decorative elements.
