The sun, partially obscured by clouds in the upper left-center, casts a bright yellowish light. The ground within the excavation area is characterized by reddish-brown soil and significant deposits of lighter, almost white or cream-colored material. A steep, layered cut of earth displaying both reddish and white strata is prominent on the left. Tire tracks are visible in the lighter-colored earth in the central part of the site. One human figure, an adult in dark clothing, stands in the mid-ground near a pile of white material, facing left. Piles of darker, angular rocks are present on the right side of the excavated zone. Beyond the disturbed earth, a ridge covered with green trees transitions into a hazy, flat landscape extending to the horizon.
