A black granite monument stands in a grassy area with trees in the background. The monument is rectangular and stands on a tiered base. The inscription at the top reads "ТРУЖЕНИКАМ ТЫЛА И ДЕТЯМ ВОЙНЫ" (To the workers of the rear and children of war) followed by the years "1941 - 1945". Below this is an etched image of two figures working at a machine. The inscription at the bottom reads "Потомки благодарны Вам, родные, за то, что Вы выстояли и победили." (Descendants are grateful to you, dear ones, for holding out and winning.). The area around the monument is covered in dark grey gravel, and the grass is green and somewhat overgrown. Faintly visible in the background is a dark green metal structure with tables and benches. This monument is located in Abaza, Russia, and it commemorates those who contributed to the war effort during World War II.
