A wide, tiered concrete platform surrounds the base of the memorial, with steps leading up to it. The platform is bordered by a paved, asphalted area in the foreground, which shows some cracks and wear. In the distance, beyond the platform and memorial, a flat, hazy horizon suggests an open landscape. There are no people visible in the image. The overall impression is one of solemn grandeur and historical significance. This monument is the Stara Planina Memorial, located on Mount Botev in the Balkan Mountains, near the village of Beli Osam, Bulgaria.
