The sculpture features three stylized figures of soldiers in uniform, marching forward and holding a French flag aloft. They are rendered in a somewhat abstract, muted blue and brown palette. The figures are placed on a raised dirt mound surrounded by a dark metal border. In the background, mature trees with large trunks and dappled sunlight create a natural canopy. Behind the trees, a modern building with multiple windows and a somewhat muted facade is visible. Below the sculpture, to the right, a metal plaque is affixed to the ground. The plaque is engraved with text, clearly indicating "MÉMORIAL DE LA 1ère GUERRE MONDIALE 1914-1918" and further details identifying it as realized by the City of Perpignan and inaugurated by Monsieur Jean-Marc Pujol.
