The fish are positioned diagonally, with their heads facing towards the right and their tails towards the left. The fish appear to be fresh, with vibrant red and pink coloration and their mouths slightly agape. Their scales are clearly visible. Behind the fish, and slightly out of focus, is a large pile of raw prawns. These prawns are dark in color with distinct banding. To the far right of the image, parts of what appear to be squid or other cephalopods are visible, also on ice. The overall impression is of a seafood market or fishmonger's display. The background is largely blurred, but hints of a white container or surface are visible at the top. The lighting is bright, suggesting an indoor setting.
