The monument is made of dark bronze and depicts numerous figures in relief, as well as larger sculptural elements. At the very top, a winged angel figure holds a cross. Below the angel, an ornate globe is surrounded by figures representing different historical eras and important individuals in Russian history. The monument is set against a pale, overcast sky with the tops of green trees visible on the right and left sides of the frame. The base of the monument has a detailed frieze of smaller figures. A white flag with a red symbol is partially visible in the lower right corner. The overall impression is one of historical significance and artistic grandeur.
